The Poppy War har jag varit nyfiken på i flera år och nu är den äntligen läst, och wow vilken bra bok!  Jag hade hört att den skulle vara mörk, och det var den verkligen. Författaren visar verkligen de hemska sidorna med krig, och vissa delar var så hemska att jag var tvungen att ta en paus. Så jag skulle rekommendera att ni läser på om trigger warnings innan ni läser denna om ni är känsliga läsare.

Jag gillar att boken är inspirerad av asiatisk kultur och religon. Det var så intressant och jag gillade verkligen karaktärerna, Rin har blivit en stor favorit hos mig.

Första halvan av boken var min favorit, jag älskar ju internatskolor och den miljön. Andra halvan var lite långsammare och det var också och den halvan som var så mörk och detaljerad.
Språket var målande och fint och jag ser så mycket fram emot att fortsätta med serien!
