Eftersom jag älskade The Hate U Give av Angie Thomas så såg jag verkligen fram emot att läsa On the Come Up, och levde den upp till förväntningarna? Absolut.
Det var så roligt att vissa delar från The Hate U Give var med i denna bok, och den utspelar sig även i samma område.
Handlingen var intressant och medryckande och jag ville bara hela tiden fortsätta läsa! Det var fullt av musik ( framför allt rapp då), vänskap, humor och familj.
Jag tyckte verkligen om karaktärerna, framför allt Bri som var så talangfull och rolig, och ville bara att det skulle gå bra för dem.
